Join the Team

You're Joining a Small Team Doing Careful Work on a Real Problem.

No corporate hierarchy. No performance theatre. Work that requires precision, curiosity, and the ability to be wrong without drama.

How We Work

Our Culture in Three Principles

Careful Work

We do not ship things we do not understand. Correctness matters more than speed. Technical debt is a choice, not an accident.

AI-Augmented by Default

Everyone on the team is expected to build with AI tools, not just use them. We run an active internal programme for AI-augmented workflows across all roles.

Intellectual Honesty

We are building something genuinely novel. That means being wrong regularly, updating beliefs based on evidence, and not defending positions past their expiry date.

Software Engineer

Department: Engineering & Product

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be a core hands-on contributor responsible for designing, building, and shipping xzeptiq's core platforms and products. This is a founding-stage, hands-on engineering opportunity. From day one you will be deeply involved in "vibe coding" and building our technical infrastructure, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to translate strategic business needs into robust, secure, and production-ready technical solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Hands-on Development. Write high-quality, production-ready software (vibe coding at the start) and contribute to critical architectural decisions.
Feature Delivery. Own features end-to-end, from concept and design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
Engineering Excellence. Uphold technical standards, engineering best practices, and code quality benchmarks, and help evolve them as we grow.
Collaboration. Work directly with the founders, data teams, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into working software with high delivery velocity.
Continuous Improvement. Contribute to a culture of learning and innovation by sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and proposing improvements.
Security & Compliance. Maintain a strong focus on system reliability, privacy, and compliance considerations critical to enterprise AI environments.

What We Are Looking For

Technical Excellence. Solid hands-on background in software development, modern engineering practices, and robust system architecture.
Product Mindset. Track record of shipping high-quality software in a fast-paced, product-focused startup or high-growth environment.
AI & Enterprise Expertise. Experience developing AI-driven or data-intensive products, alongside an understanding of enterprise software ecosystems and integrations.
Execution & Delivery. Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and drive complex features to completion.
Exceptional Communication. Ability to collaborate seamlessly across product, business, and data streams, translating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Academic or Practical Foundation. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Location. Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Austria, and a readiness to thrive in an evolving, fast-moving environment.

Junior Software Engineer

Department: Engineering · Full-time · Early-career friendly

The Role

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on contributor helping to design, build, and ship the AI-driven features at the heart of xzeptiq's platform. This is a founding-stage opportunity for someone early in their career who learns fast and loves to go deep — you don't need years of experience, you need curiosity, drive, and the willingness to dig into hard problems until you truly understand them. From day one you will be involved in "vibe coding," experimenting with AI models and agents, and building real product features alongside the founders (ex-Google, 60+ years combined IT experience) who care deeply about growing the next generation of talent.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Hands-on Development. Write software and build AI-powered features (vibe coding at the start), turning ideas and prototypes into working product.
AI Experimentation. Work with LLMs, AI agents, and data pipelines — prompting, integrating, evaluating, and iterating to make them reliable in production.
Deep Problem-Solving. Dig into unfamiliar problems and technologies, learn what you need to learn, and see solutions through end-to-end.
Collaboration. Work closely with the founders and data team to translate requirements into shippable features with a fast feedback loop.
Engineering Craft. Follow good engineering practices, write clean and testable code, and grow your skills through code review and pairing.
Security & Compliance. Keep reliability, privacy, and compliance in mind when building for enterprise AI environments.

What We Are Looking For

Drive to Go Deep. A genuine willingness to dive into hard, unfamiliar problems and figure them out — this matters more to us than years on your CV.
Solid Foundations. Working knowledge of software development and modern engineering practices, with some hands-on experience (internships, projects, open source, or early professional work all count).
AI Curiosity. Interest and some practical exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or data-intensive applications — and eagerness to build real expertise fast.
Fast Learner. Comfortable in an evolving, fast-moving startup environment where you pick up new tools and ship quickly.
Good Communication. Ability to collaborate across product, business, and data streams and to ask good questions.
Academic or Practical Foundation. Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) — a completed degree is a plus but not a hard requirement.
Location. Comfort working in a hybrid setup in Austria.
